Teller

Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union (MSGCU) has been providing families with trustworthy financial products and dependable services for over 55 years; and we have a strong reputation for putting our members’ needs first. We are a growing organization currently seeking part-time tellers to provide a variety of member service functions, including accurate processing of savings accounts, draft accounts, and loan transactions as well as cashing checks, selling money orders and traveler’s checks, processing mail, and maintaining account records.

The selected applicant will be responsible for providing high quality of member service, including effective listening, determining member needs, promotion of credit union services and problem solving techniques. Additional responsibilities include balancing each day’s transactions and verifying cash and transaction totals. 

Qualified applicants will possess at least six-months working experience as a teller in a financial institution, or retail sales representative/cashier. Applicants must have proficiency in Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

The selected candidate must be willing to work at any one of our Branch locations and will be required to occasionally travel/drive throughout the Credit Union’s service areas of Southeast Michigan and must possess a valid driver’s license as well as be willing to submit to a comprehensive background, credit and reference screening verification.
