How do we monitor your account?

Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union is committed to protecting the privacy of those who visit our site. When you visit our site, your browser automatically sends us an IP (Internet Protocol) address and certain other information (including the type of browser you use). We may use this information to provide access, for statistical purposes, or to otherwise administer the site. In certain sections of our site, we may ask you to provide us with your name or other information so that we may deliver the information you have requested. You are under no obligation to supply this information. Without it, however, we may be unable to fulfill your request.

Below are just a few methods that we use to monitor the information members choose to input into our site — to ensure that your account stays secure, and functions as expected, while you manage your finances online.

24/7 Monitoring All Online and Mobile Banking systems are constantly monitored to insure all member information is safe and secure.
Internet Cookies Cookies are a small text file assigned and attached to your computer via our Online Banking web server. Cookies enable our system to recognize your browser and your information as you navigate and conduct transactions within Online Banking. MSGCU uses temporary internet cookies that are stored on your computer during your current Online Banking session. The cookies are automatically deleted when your browser is closed. You can set your Web browser to warn you before you accept a cookie.
Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to help analyze how users use the site, in accordance with the Google Analytics Terms of Service (“Terms”) and the Google Privacy Policy. The tool uses "cookies," which are text files used to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior information in an anonymous form. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the website (including IP address) is transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate visitors' use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity for MSGCU. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf, but with strict restrictions that prevent the data from being used or shared except as directed by Google and subject to agreements that oblige those parties to process such data only on Google’s instructions and in compliance with the Terms and appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

MSGCU will not use the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of visitors to the website. Google’s use of such data is governed by the Terms and the Google Privacy Policy which are available on the Google Analytics website. MSGCU will not link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user. MSGCU will not associate any data gathered from this site with any PII from any source, unless you explicitly submit that information via a fill-in form on the MSGCU website.

Intrusion Detection Systems Our network traffic is continuously scanned for possible malicious attacks to our systems.
Server Logs

For your protection, all Online and Mobile Banking activity is recorded into detailed logs. These logs are used for investigating problems and disputes.

These logs are also regularly monitored to identify unusual activity.
Flurry Analytics We use Remarketing with Flurry Analytics to manage the advertising on our Mobile Banking app. This service uses cookies to collect non-personally identifiable information about your activities on our app. If you choose, you may opt-out of Flurry Analytics
