Macomb County Sheriff K-9 Unit Supported by our Main Office on Garfield Road

By choosing the K-9 Unit, we wanted to pay our respects to the forgotten heroes that help the police with tracking, narcotics, searches and all of the extra work they do. So hats off to all the dogs, including Saber and Buster. Thank you!

In January of 2017, Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham and the K-9 Unit visited our Main Office and received a donation for their unit. This is the second year the team at Main has supported the hard-working police dogs that devote their lives to protecting Macomb County. 

“We wanted to work with a first responder service and an animal organization, so we decided to combine both ideas," said the Main Office branch manager. "In meeting with Officer Duranni of the K-9 Unit and learning how valuable these dogs are with the protection of our community, we knew we made the right choice."

Our team at Main feels a special responsibility to serve those who safeguard our neighborhoods. Jason, a Member Service Representative, believes that “as a credit union employee, I take pride in our first responder members and serving them. The dogs of the K-9 Unit and their partners keep us safe, so it is important to make sure they are well cared for!"
