I'm seeking a $750 grant for two 3D printers to enrich our 8th-grade science curriculum. This technology will inspire creativity, critical thinking, and in-depth scientific understanding. We aim to foster curiosity among 8th graders. 3D printing is a transformative tool that allows students to materialize ideas, enhancing problem-solving and creativity. It's crucial for their holistic development.3D printing will:Foster Creativity: Encourage out-of-the-box thinking.Enhance Learning: Make complex science tangible.Promote Collaboration: Develop essential teamwork skills.Integration with Natural Hazards Unit:3D printing aligns seamlessly with our natural hazards unit. Students will craft 3D models of hazards, deepening their understanding while fostering community responsibility.Integration with Roller Coaster Unit:Additionally, 3D printing will enhance our roller coaster unit. Students will design roller coasters and use 3D printing for custom components.
