An MSGCU Giving Back donation was presented to the Commerce Township Fire Department by our team from the Commerce branch. The donation was used to purchase Knox Boxes, which will be loaned to residents who cannot afford them. The Knox Boxes will allow firefighters to safely enter homes in emergencies when residents cannot open the door or are not home.
“MSGCU’s donation will support the Fire Department’s first Knox Box Program, which provides a key lock for residents who are temporarily away from their homes,” said Marjorie, Commerce Branch Manager. “This system enables the Fire Department to access properties for welfare checks or emergencies when residents are not home. We are very thankful for what Chief Dundas and his team do, and for their unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of our community.”
§You must be at least 16 years old, and a member of MSGCU to participate in the Program. Referrals made to existing members of MSGCU are invalid. Only one reward per reward type is available, for each Friend referred, subject to a maximum of $1,500 in cash rewards per calendar year. Rewards will be automatically deposited into your oldest existing MSGCU primary share account two business days following confirmation by MSGCU that the referral has been made in full compliance with the Program Terms. Reward cash payments are considered interest and annual payments totaling $600 and above will be reported on IRS Form 1099-MISC, to federal, state, and local tax authorities, if required by applicable law.
