CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – July 21, 2025 – Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the grand reopening of its remodeled Chesterfield Township branch office. Located at 34700 23 Mile Road, the branch office is part of MSGCU’s network of 24 locations across Southeast Michigan.
The credit union expanded the branch office and modernized the interior to ensure members experience an inviting environment when visiting this location, which opened in 2012. To improve branch functionality, MSGCU expanded the lobby space and added interactive touch screen technology that allows members to easily learn more about the MSGCU products and services that interest them.
“Refreshing this branch office is an investment in member service. Team members have always provided helpful and efficient service in our busy Chesterfield Township branch office, and the branch updates now better support an exceptional member experience in a welcoming atmosphere,” said Steve Brewer, MSGCU President/CEO. “We are grateful for the support of our community partners here in Chesterfield Township as we completed the remodel and look forward to continuing to serve this community together.”
MSGCU’s event featured a ceremonial ribbon cutting and remarks from the following speakers:
Theresa Cleveland serves as branch office manager for the Chesterfield Township location and joined MSGCU in December 2005. She has 29 years of experience in the financial services industry and is a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor who can help members create a budget, find ways to save money, or improve their credit score. MSGCU offers complimentary financial counselors at each branch office to champion the financial success of its members.
To enhance the communities it serves, MSGCU provides scholarships and grants, free financial education, and more. Through its Giving Back program, MSGCU provides $1,000 donations to community organizations near each of its 24 branches. The Chesterfield Township branch office presented a donation to the New Haven Fire Department in May, which was used to purchase carbon monoxide detectors for seniors in the community.
