1. Why are you changing the mobile app and online banking?
We know how important online and mobile banking are. Most of our members use online or mobile banking on a regular basis and we are committed to continuing to improve that experience. Our new platform will allow you to do many things that are not possible in our current system, including controlling your credit and debit card, tracking spending through monthly charts, and sending money to friends and family through PayPal.

2. When will you launch the new app and site?
We are working to launch the new online and mobile platform in early 2020. As we get closer, we will let members know of a specific launch date.

3. How does this impact me?
If you aren’t already using online or mobile banking, you’ll be able to jump right in when it launches. Our new online and mobile banking will help you track your spending, transfer money to pay your bills, view eStatements, and more.

If you are already using online or mobile banking, you’ll be able to do the same things you can in our current environment, plus so much more. You will need to reconfigure any alerts that you have set up and create new security questions. Other settings, including scheduled transfers and bill pay settings, will carryover with you.

4. What do I need to do to prepare?
Simply review and update your email address, cell phone, home phone, and address as needed. This can be completed in the "Settings" portion of online banking or at any of our 15 locations.

5. Why do I need to review my contact information?
When the new mobile app and online banking launches, we will need to confirm your identity by sending a Secure Access Code to the contact information that we have on file. To prevent this code from being delivered to an out-of-date phone number or email, you should make sure that your contact information is correct in online banking or at any of our 15 locations.

6. What is going to be different?
We're excited to be introducing a long list of new features to help you better manage your accounts, including:

  • New look and navigation that is more intuitive and user-friendly
  • Improvements to transaction history allowing for better insights into spending and saving
  • Internal account aggregation allows joint owners to see all the accounts they are listed on as an owner
  • Person-to-person payments allow you to easily send money to friends and family
  • Quick balance gives you easy access to account balances in the mobile app without needing to login
  • More functions in the mobile app, such as eStatements, alerts management, and ability to make mortgage payments
  • Card controls to quickly shut down a lost or compromised card

7. How will it work differently for joint account holders?
Each owner of a joint account will have their own login. Through our new online banking platform, you will be able to link joint accounts so you can view all of your MSGCU accounts through a single login.

8. What about my recurring transfers, scheduled bill pay, and notifications?
Any scheduled or recurring bill pay and transfers will move with you to the new system. These will remain just as you scheduled them, so there will be no need to set them up again.

Notifications and alerts will need to be set up again.
