Our Board of Directors play an important role in guiding the Credit Union’s mission of helping our members achieve financial success. We are honored to welcome Lola Aré and Steven Gottlieb as our newest board members.
Lola Aré is a seasoned strategic advisor with over 25 years of experience helping small and mid-sized businesses grow and scale. As Principal Consultant at Strategic Thinktank, Inc., she specializes in getting CEOs and founders prepared for growth, provides services such as strategic road mapping, financial projections, ongoing coaching, and project management. Lola is also the founder of the Becoming Bankable Program, a financial literacy initiative for small businesses. She holds an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, a BBA from the University of Michigan – Flint, and is an active member of the Ross School of Business Alumni Association, Leadership Oakland XVIII, and the Great Lakes Women’s Business Enterprise Council.
Steven Gottlieb has been the owner-broker of Red Carpet Keim Concierge Real Estate since 1980. Concurrently, from 1976-2016, he was a teacher in the Career and Technical Education and Social Studies departments at Troy Athens High School. He is a Trustee and Treasurer of Oakland Schools Board of Education. Mr. Gottlieb previously served on the Boards of T&I Credit Union, the Clawson Chamber of Commerce, and the Troy School District. He was a member of the Troy City Council, the grievance chair in the Troy School District, and a member of the Troy Planning Commission. Mr. Gottlieb has an MA in Educational Administration from Central Michigan University and a BS in Vocational Education from the University of Michigan.
