- Save-A-Lot Squad (Ages 0-12): A fun way for children to learn the value of a dollar. Open an account with just $5 to receive rewards, birthday cards, and access to exclusive contests.
- MyMoney.club (Ages 13-17): We teach teens the basics of money management. Members enjoy free financial education seminars, college planning resources, and eligibility for special MSGCU scholarships.
- Youth Classic Visa Credit Card: Designed for members ages 16-17 with a regular income, this card is the perfect "training wheels" for building a strong credit history responsibly.
- Achieve Student Debit Account: For members ages 16-23, this account offers a Visa debit card, 24/7 mobile banking, and 30,000+ fee-free ATMs—perfect for the transition to college or the workforce. In addition, you can choose to round the amount to the nearest dollar after every purchase, and transfer the extra change into a savings account automatically.
- Greenlight: Help your kids and teens build smart money habits. Greenlight’s debit card and app make earning, saving, and spending a hands-on learning experience. Sign up and fund your Greenlight card using an MSGCU checking account, and we will cover the cost of the plan.*
- Youth Flex CD: Help your child’s savings grow faster. This one-year CD for members 17 and under allows unlimited deposits and two penalty-free withdrawals per term, earning 4.00% APY**.

Each year, MSGCU awards more than $150,000 in scholarships to support our community's future leaders:
- High School Seniors: Over two dozen scholarships for students with outstanding classroom and community records.
- Future Educators: Specific scholarships for students majoring in education or current teachers pursuing advanced degrees.
- Trade & Vocational: Support for those entering specialized career paths.

*Michigan Schools & Government Credit Union members are eligible to participate in the Greenlight SELECT program at no cost when their Michigan Schools & Government Credit Union checking account is connected as the Greenlight funding source. Program eligibility is subject to minimum balance requirements and identity verification. Upgrades will result in additional fees. If the program or partnership ends, members will continue to have access to their Greenlight account and will be responsible for any applicable subscription fees moving forward.
